Emil Georgiev

Emil Georgiev currently serves as the Head of Corporate Risk Management and Finance - Internal Audit at OKX since April 2025. Previously, Emil held various significant roles at Citi from July 2016 to April 2025, including Director and Senior Vice President within Corporate Treasury, where responsibilities included executing a multi-year program to enhance liquidity production and overseeing internal audits related to liquidity management. Prior to Citi, Emil worked at American Express as Audit Director - Risk, JPMorgan Chase & Co. as Vice President of Internal Audit, and Banco Santander as Internal Audit Manager. Early career experience includes roles as Account Manager at Compass Group and Portfolio Management Analyst at Salomon Smith Barney Holdings Inc. Emil holds a Master's degree in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis School of Business and Economics, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Economics from Clark University.
