Joel Valencia

Joel Valencia is a strategic leader in talent acquisition and human resources with extensive experience in global markets, particularly in North America, EMEA, and LATAM. Currently serving as Chief People Officer at OKX since January 2023, Joel has held multiple senior roles including VP of Human Resources and VP of Talent Acquisition within the organization, contributing to the growth of a leading digital asset exchange. Prior to OKX, Joel held significant positions at Meta and Facebook as Global People Leader and Global Talent Leader, respectively. Additional experience includes leadership roles in talent acquisition at BrightEdge, Medallia, and Robert Half International, as well as early career contributions to Intero Real Estate Services, where Joel played a pivotal role in scaling the company. Joel holds a degree in Commercial Pilot from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a degree from San José State University.
