Elena Bushberg began their career in 2002 as a Business Unit Manager at Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals. In 2010, they became a Business Unit Director at Merck. Elena held this position until 2012 when they moved to MSD Sharp & Dohme GmbH as their Business Unit Director for Respiratory & Women's Health. Elena was responsible for revising the marketing strategy and field force allocation which led to a 20% growth in business. In 2013, they returned to Abbott as their Business Unit Director. Elena was responsible for leading two teams, cardio and CNS, and delivered sustainable growth of $100 million.

In 2015, Elena became the General Manager at Veropharm, Abbott's acquired Russian company. Veropharm had three manufacturing sites and $150 million in net sales of diversified portfolio including oncology, gastro, CNS, and plasters. Elena was successful in transforming the culture and organization to deliver fast business growth in tenders and retail segments (EI 2018>110). Elena also established and upgraded business processes to align to international requirements. Elena served in this position until 2019 when they became a Board Member at OlainFarm.

Elena Bushberg's educational career includes a Global Executive MBA from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, a Bachelor of Science from Moscow State Linguistic University, and certification from CELforPharma in Understanding Pharma Market Access and Payers in Europe (1-day course) with Dr. Nick Proctor. Elena also has certification from the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance in Board Member Education - Certificate of Graduation.
