Franz Trierweiler's work experience begins in 1996 as a Student Engineer at CNET, where they focused on enhancing RSA speed computation on a smart card emulator. Franz then worked at Bull CP8 as a Smart Card Operating Systems Engineer, responsible for embedded smart card operating systems and cryptography. Franz subsequently joined Groupe MCO as a Consultant before moving to XIRING / Ingenico Healthcare eID, where they served as a Personal Platforms Manager, overseeing hardware, firmware, mechanics development, and industrialization in Asia. At XIRING, they also held the role of Experienced Technical Expert, providing expertise in smart card technology and advising marketing teams. Trierweiler later joined Ingenico Healthcare & eID as a Firmware Manager, and then Olaqin as a Solution Development Manager, R&D Director, and Director of Technology. In their most recent role at Olaqin, they managed a team of highly skilled professionals and focused on software development and architecture design.

Franz Trierweiler attended Lycée Sainte Marie from 1991 to 1993, where they studied Mathématiques Supérieures/Mathématiques Spéciales. Franz then went on to study at ENSISA - Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs Sud Alsace from 1993 to 1996, earning a Diplôme d'ingénieur. Their studies at ENSISA included Computer Science, Control Engineering, Electronics, and Mechanics.
