Rob Buckel-Gillis

Rob Buckel-Gillis has over 15 years of experience in human resources and employee relations. Their most recent position is as the Human Resources Director at Old Colony Elder Services (OCES), where they have been since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Human Resources Director at Superior Packaging and Finishing from 2020 to 2021.

From 2017 to 2020, Rob served as the Employee Relations Manager at The MENTOR Network, where they oversaw employee relations functions for a human services organization across four states. Before that, they were the Human Resources Manager at Aetna Corp. from 2016 to 2017, managing HR functions for employees across 14 states.

Rob's earlier experiences include roles such as Center Director at Active Day of Hingham, Vice President Community Outreach at Fidelis Hospice, and Community Outreach Project Manager at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. Rob also served as the Vice President Volunteer Services at Beacon Hospice, Inc. and Director of Volunteer Services at Community Teamwork.

Throughout their career, Rob has demonstrated expertise in recruitment, training, employee relations, and compliance.

Rob Buckel-Gillis has a Master's degree in Employment Law from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Rob also holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from Southern New Hampshire University, and a Master of Social Work degree from Tulane University. Additionally, they have a Bachelor of General Studies degree in General Studies/Sociology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

In terms of certifications, Rob is a Certified Employee Engagement Specialist from The Employee Engagement Group, a Certified HR Reporting Specialist from AIHR | Academy to Innovate HR, a Certified Strategic HR Business Partner from AIHR | Academy to Innovate HR, and a Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer from NCCDP. Rob is also a SHRM-CP certified professional from SHRM and an Associate Professional in Human Resources™ (aPHR™) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
