Cathy Lewis

Cathy Lewis is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in communication and community engagement. As the founder of Cathy Lewis Presents since January 2000, Cathy serves as a keynote speaker, consultant, facilitator, emcee, and a certified Gallup Clifton Strengths coach, focusing on helping organizations foster connection and resilience. At Old Dominion University, Cathy has been a Community Engagement Liaison since August 2010, bridging the university's academic resources with the Hampton Roads community. Cumulatively, Cathy has a rich background in broadcasting, having hosted and executive produced the flagship talk show "Hear/Say" at WHRO from March 1996 to May 2021. Additionally, Cathy served as President Emeritus of the CIVIC Leadership Institute from July 2001 to May 2019 and was the President of the National Speakers Association - Virginia Chapter from June 2010 to June 2011. Cathy's early career includes roles as an anchor and reporter for WAVY-TV and WOWK-TV, following the completion of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Marshall University.
