James Nyakomitta

James Nyakomitta is currently serving as the Group Chief Information Officer at Old Mutual Kenya since May 2025. Prior to this role, James held the same position at APA Insurance Limited from November 2015 to April 2025. His earlier career includes a tenure as Head of ICT at Madison Insurance Group from July 2007 to November 2015, and as IT Services Manager at Central Depository & Settlement Corporation from June 2006 to July 2007. James began professional experience as an ICT Officer at Stanbic Bank Kenya, a role held from March 2001 to June 2006. Academically, James is a PhD candidate in Information Systems at the University of Nairobi and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management Information Systems and Services, completed at the same institution between January 2007 and January 2008.
