Widaad Baba currently serves as the Executive of Personal Finance Operations at Old Mutual Limited, where responsibilities include leading operations focused on business process efficiency, risk management, compliance, and financial management while overseeing a budget exceeding R1 billion. Previously, Widaad held the position of Head of Strategic Execution, managing a portfolio of strategic projects with an annual budget of R250 million to R300 million. Widaad's extensive experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at ILIOS Travel, where strategic business operations were developed for high-end markets, and as Executive of the Lean Deployment Office at ABSA Bank, contributing to significant cost savings through the implementation of LEAN strategies. Widaad also held roles at Barclays, PwC, and Deloitte, showcasing a strong background in strategic change and consulting. Academic credentials include an MBA from the University of Cape Town and a BA Honours in Development Studies from Stellenbosch University, among other degrees.
