Kate Walsh serves as the School Partnerships Program Manager at the Old Town School of Folk Music since October 2018, specializing in managing Artist-in-Residence programming, cultivating relationships with Chicago Public Schools and community organizations, and developing culturally-relevant curricula. Walsh's previous experience includes roles such as Program Director and Special Projects Manager at Intonation Music Workshop, Board Member and Membership Director at Girls Rock Camp Alliance, and Student Services Manager at Merit School of Music. Walsh also held leadership positions with Girls Rock! Chicago and DePaul Community Music Division, among others. Educational credentials include a B.A. Magna Cum Laude in Sociology and Music from New York University.

Founded in 1957, the Old Town School of Folk Music provides a wide range of music, dance, theater, and visual arts courses to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
