Dan Plattenberger

Dan Plattenberger is a seasoned professional in the fields of civil and environmental engineering, currently serving as the National Technical Director for Oldcastle APG since April 2021, overseeing packaged products under the Sakrete, Amerimix, and US Spec brands. Prior to this role, Dan worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory from August 2019 to March 2021, where Dan facilitated collaborations with industry partners to innovate tools and materials for challenging environments. Dan's academic background includes a Ph.D. and a Master of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Virginia, complemented by undergraduate degrees in Environmental Science and Physics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Throughout Dan's career, significant contributions have been made to the development of carbon-neutral building materials and sustainable engineering practices.
