Brian Bare has a strong background in data and analytics, with experience in various leadership roles. Brian currently serves as the Vice President of Global Data & Analytics and Enterprise Architecture at Oldcastle Infrastructure. In this role, they are driving the transformation of the company into a data-driven organization, delivering revenue, margin improvements, and cost reductions through pricing and customer analytics.
Prior to their current role, Brian was the Head of Global Data & Analytics at James Hardie Building Products, where they designed and implemented a global data strategy for analytics and reporting. Brian also served as the interim Vice President of IT and managed a team responsible for data warehousing, data analytics, enterprise integration, and global visualization.
Before James Hardie Building Products, Brian worked as the Director of Information Architecture and MDM at Ascena Retail Group, Inc. In this role, they led a team to build future platforms for marketing, data warehousing, data science, and customer intelligence. Brian spearheaded a critical IT initiative to consolidate data systems among all subsidiaries and delivered a cloud-based data lake and analytics solution.
Brian also has experience as the Director of Data and Insights at Abercrombie & Fitch, where they strengthened vendor relationships and improved enterprise-wide decision-making through improvements in the enterprise data warehouse and self-service business intelligence.
Earlier in their career, Brian worked as a Senior Project Manager and Solution Architect at ICC, where they completed large technology projects for clients such as the State of Ohio and Abercrombie & Fitch. Brian also served as the Senior Director of Information Technology Operations at Century Insurance Group, where they designed and implemented the company's enterprise data warehouse and managed data center, infrastructure, and helpdesk operations.
Brian Bare earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University, where they attended from 1990 to 1992. Brian later pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) with a focus on International Business at Bowling Green State University, completing the program between 2016 and 2018. Additionally, they obtained various certifications, including Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Oracle Certified Database Administrator, and Level I - Basic Insurance Operations from LOMA.
