Aaron GlynWilliams has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Aaron started their career as a Special Assistant at the City of Toronto and then moved on to work as a Special Assistant at the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs. During this time, they developed communication and stakeholder relation strategies and organized targeted consultation sessions.
Aaron later worked at the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services as a Consultant on the Youth Development Committee.
Aaron then joined the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services as a Senior Manager, External Partnerships at the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games Organizing Committee. In this role, they managed a team and supported operational planning across various levels of government.
Aaron also served as a Community Engagement Manager at Crosslinx Transit Solutions, where they were responsible for public communication, stakeholder relations, and community liaison for a major transit project.
Aaron was also a Manager, Government Affairs & Stakeholder Relations at the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, a Co-Chair of the Board of Directors at Pride Toronto, and a Manager, Research & Insights and Manager, Strategic Services at Elections Ontario.
Currently, Aaron is working at OLG as the Director, Policy, Research & Strategy | Community, Sustainability & Social Responsibility. In this role, they lead a team to improve OLG's responsible gambling program and has delivered important enhancements to the self-exclusion program.
Aaron GlynWilliams attended the University of Waterloo from 2023 to 2024, where they studied Data Analytics for Behavioural Insights. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies/Affairs at the University of Toronto from 2007 to 2011.
