Jamie Gonzales has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. They began their career in 2002 as a Public Health Associate III/Grant Writer at the City of Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services. They then worked as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Alaska Anchorage from 2005 to 2008. From 2009 to 2011, they served as an Office Manager at Sitkoff/O'Neil Accountancy Corporation. They returned to the University of Alaska Anchorage as a Writer/Communications Specialist from 2011 to 2015. Following that, they joined the Alaska Dispatch News as a Creative Services Manager & Editor from 2015 to 2017. Currently, Jamie holds the position of Director of Communications & Administration at Olgoonik Corporation, which they have been serving in since November 2017.

Jamie Gonzales attended the University of Alaska Anchorage from 2006 to 2009, where they pursued the MFA program in Creative Writing. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2002, Jamie completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Writing & Literature, with a minor in Sociology, at George Fox University.
