Christopher Merck

Christopher Merck has a diverse range of work experience in engineering and entrepreneurship. Christopher is currently the VP Engineering & Co-Founder at Olibra, where they work with a team to develop smart appliances that are reliable and user-friendly. Prior to that, they founded and served as President of Merck Engineering LLC, where they helped turn ideas into prototypes and pitched them to customers and investors. Christopher also worked as an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fellow at Stevens Institute of Technology, conducting research in areas such as causation in physical systems and designing studies using wearable sensors. Additionally, they worked as an Embedded Systems Consultant at Gotham Analytics, where they developed IoT solutions and implemented sensor networks for various projects. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Project Engineer at Crestron Electronics, specializing in firmware development for video and Ethernet-based products. Christopher also gained experience as an Engineering Apprentice at Mackisoc Engineering, where they received training in electrical engineering and business administration.

Christopher Merck earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering Physics from Stevens Institute of Technology, where they attended from 2006 to 2010. In 2009, they also took classes in Linguistics at Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg. In 2013, they obtained a certification in Pattern-Oriented Software Architectures for Concurrent and Networked Software from Coursera.
