Trent Thompson

Creative Director at OLIVER

Trent Thompson has a diverse range of experience in creative directing and copywriting. Trent started their career at Maclaren McCann Direct & Interactive as a Junior Copywriter in 2002 before moving up to the role of Copywriter. In 2005, they joined Proximity as a Copywriter and later became an Associate Creative Director and then a Creative Director. Trent achieved notable success at Proximity, winning multiple awards for their work on the Rogers CRM business. In 2014, they moved to RAPP as a Creative Director before transitioning to Track DDB as a Creative Director in 2015. Later that same year, they became a Group Creative Director at Cossette, where they contributed to award-winning campaigns for the SickKids Foundation. In 2017, they joined BBDO Canada as a VP, Creative Director and then moved to No Fixed Address Inc. in 2020 as their VP, Creative Director. Currently, they hold the role of Creative Director at OLIVER, where they work on the Manulife business.

Trent Thompson attended Humber College from 2001 to 2002, where they obtained a Certificate in Media Copywriting. Prior to that, they attended McGill University from 1992 to 1996, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honours English Literature with a minor in Music History.
