Kelly Corey

Director Of Graduate Business Programs, Professor Of Business at Olivet College

Kelly Corey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Kelly is currently the Director of Graduate Business Programs and a Professor of Business at The University of Olivet. Kelly has been in this position since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Collective Impact Consultant, assisting educational, social service, and governmental agencies in creating and sustaining positive community impact. During this time, they secured over $60 million in funding for improvement projects. Kelly also served as a Professor of Management at Trine University from August 2015 to June 2023, where they played a key role in transforming the Ketner School of Business and created catalytic relationships between business and engineering students and faculty. Before that, they were an Assistant Professor and a Professional Instructor at Western Michigan University, teaching nonprofit and public sector leadership and management. Additionally, they held leadership roles at Trine University, serving as the Nonprofit Organizational Studies Lead Faculty and the Founding Director of the Lou Holtz Master of Science in Organizational Leadership Program. Kelly conceptualized and built this program, leading curriculum development, student recruitment, and program evaluation. Finally, they served as the Executive Director of AHEAD Coalition, Inc., where they led drug prevention and community mobilization projects, generated grant funding, and established business/community partnerships to support drug-free initiatives.

Kelly Corey holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Western Michigan University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Purdue University and a Master of Arts in Adult and Community Education from Ball State University. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have several certifications including being a Certified Dare to Lead Organizational Facilitator from Dare to Lead™ Trained and a Certified Interpretive Guide (CIG) from the National Association for Interpretation. Kelly also holds certifications in Advanced Indiana Master Naturalist, Advanced Master Gardener, Certified Habitudes Leadership Facilitator from Growing Leaders, Inc., and Everything DiSC Certification from John Wiley and Sons.
