Katie Wong

Katie Wong has a diverse range of work experience. Katie started their career as an intern for Senator Jerry Hill in the California State Senate, where they attended community events, conducted research, and responded to constituent inquiries. Following that, they worked as an ice cream scooper at Tin Pot Creamery, where they gained customer service skills and learned about the food industry.

Katie then transitioned to various internships at Quay Australia, starting as a brand marketing intern, where they created product and marketing packages for social media influencers and participated in customer survey discussions. Katie moved on to an inventory control and operations internship, where they helped with the transition to a new international distribution center and gained experience in NetSuite and running daily reports. Lastly, they interned as a marketing and public relations intern, organizing influencer campaigns, communicating with influencers, and creating reports for Quay and its public relations agencies.

Katie also had experience as a social media intern for UCLA Beauty and Cosmetics, where they managed social media accounts, helped create a new brand image, and interacted with followers. At UCLA Student Alumni Association, they held various roles, including External Relations Committee Executive Director, Leadership Development Events Director, Company Director for Spring Sing, and Community Engagement Director. In these positions, they planned and organized events, led unconscious bias training, produced comedic sketches, and created volunteer opportunities.

Katie'smost recent work experience is as a social media associate at OLLY PBC, where they currently work.

Katie Wong attended Carlmont High School from 2014 to 2018. During their time there, they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. After completing high school, they enrolled at UCLA in 2018 and is expected to graduate in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies. In addition to their formal education, Katie has obtained certifications in the Sprout Social Platform from Sprout Social, Inc. in September 2022, and in iMovie 10.1.8 Essential Training from LinkedIn in October 2020.
