Sharon Schneller oversees Olmsted Medical Center's nursing and social services. As an advocate for patient safety, Sharon also assists with facilitating safety and quality initiatives throughout OMC.

Sharon has held senior leadership positions with core responsibilities in all aspects of the healthcare delivery spectrum including positions in nursing, quality, population health, and performance management.

She served as the Vice President of Healthcare Services with Molina Healthcare in Columbus, Ohio. At Molina Health, she was responsible for the strategic development, overall direction, and execution of healthcare services to assure safe, cost-effective, and efficient patient care. She led the accreditation process to assure integrated continuity of care for the government programs in Ohio, including Medicaid, Medicare, and dual-eligible patients. In a former role, Sharon was the Vice President of Clinical Care and Quality for Optum Health where she created and implemented innovative solutions to improve clinical performance, enhance the patient experience, achieve solid clinical outcomes, and impact cost of care. She collaborated on the design and implementation of consistent nursing standards of practice and competencies and aligned clinical education programs for over 1,000 RN care managers.

In addition to having process improvement experience as well as program development experience with insurance payers, Sharon also was the Vice-Chair, Hospital Operations and System Chief Nurse Executive for Mayo Clinic Health System. In this role, she was responsible for strategy development, overall direction, and execution of the hospitals for safe, compassionate, cost-effective, and high-quality patient care. Areas of responsibility included inpatient care, radiology, laboratory and pharmacy services, surgical services, social services, and hospital-based outpatient programs.
