Ilya Skliarov

Ilya Skliarov has over 10 years of experience in the tech industry. Ilya began their career in 2011 as a Software Intern at VisionMetric, where they contributed to the beginning stages of 3D facial composites and created videos to help advertise their new product EFIT-V. In 2013, they transitioned to FDM Group as an IT Consultant. The following year, they joined British Airways as a Contract Software Developer, where they worked on a new core back end service used heavily in the e-commerce platform. In 2016, they moved to Leo Tech Services Pte Ltd as a Software Developer, where they designed and created ETL jobs in Scala using Apache Spark and data ingestion and streaming workflows using Apache Nifi. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at Elemental Concept as a Solutions Architect, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer. Currently, they are the Head of Engineering at Olsam, where they propel their business forward and helps them do things that otherwise wouldn't be possible, through technology.

Ilya Skliarov attended Westminster City School from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained GCSEs. Ilya then attended City of London School from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained GCE A-Levels in Mathematics, Economics, and Physics. Finally, they attended the University of Exeter from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Physics.
