Shelby's curiosity for marketing goes back to an enterprising childhood: in addition to the classic neighborhood lemonade stand, she operated a painted rock business and sold homemade puzzle books. This interest followed her to the University of Pittsburgh, where she spent four years promoting Pitt Tonight, a student-run late-night talk show.
When applying for an internship with Olson Zaltman, Shelby identified the common ground between her time marketing a late-night talk show and qualitative marketing research: human stories. After interning with Olson Zaltman for two semesters, she is eager to be part of the full-time team and delve into consumer stories on a daily basis.
Shelby graduated summa cum laude with a major in Marketing and certificates in Public and Professional Writing and Leadership and Ethics.
