Jade Schut

Werkstudent Polikliniek at OLVG

Jade Schut is currently a Werkstudent at OLVG, starting in August 2024. Previously, Jade worked as an R&D Scientist in Plant-Based Foods at DUG Foodtech AB from October 2021 to October 2023, focusing on the development of innovative plant-based meat analogues and dairy alternatives. At Lund University, Jade served as a Research Project Assistant on meat analogues from October 2021 to December 2022, collaborating on the EIT Food Project to improve the juiciness of plant-based options. Jade's experience also includes working as a Molecular Analyst at Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jade's academic background includes a Master's degree in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, a Master of Science in Food Technology and Nutrition from Lund University, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Life Science and Technology from Delft University of Technology and Leiden University, complemented by a semester exchange at the University of Michigan.
