John Baghdassarian

VP of Content Acquisitions at Olympusat

John Baghdassarian is a cable industry veteran with over 20 years of experience. In his new role, John serves as a key member of the acquisition and licensing team. His main goal is to work closely with content producers, broadcasters, and distributors from Germany, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. John’s goal is to acquire top-notch content and support Olympusat’s strategy to put together multicultural content that embraces different genres and filmmaking styles in order to offer unrivaled programming from all over the world on Olympusat's owned-and-operated channels and VEMOX. Prior to his new role, John served as Olympusat’s Vice President of Distribution, overseeing the distribution of the company’s owned-and-operated channels on linear and digital platforms.

Previously, John worked at AMC Networks, including AMC, W.E, and IFC. Prior to AMC Networks, John worked for Showtime Networks, Viacom/Comedy Central, as well as Scripps Networks’ Food Network. John received a BA from UCLA, and an MBA from Pepperdine University and is an Alumnus of CTAM’s Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School.
