Kate Thomas

Kate Thomas is currently the Director of Corporate Marketing and Communication at Omaha Public Power District, a role held since April 2016, where objectives for brand value, customer satisfaction, and team engagement are established, alongside overseeing various initiatives to enhance business outcomes. Prior to this position, Kate served as the Manager of Communication and External Affairs at Conagra Brands for five years, focusing on communication strategies related to supply chain and M&A activities while working with senior leadership. Earlier experience includes roles as a Corporate Communications Manager at West Corporation, where communication strategies for employees and branding were developed, and various other positions in corporate communications and marketing, starting as a Marketing Intern at the University of Nebraska. Kate holds a Bachelor of Journalism with Honors in Advertising from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has furthered education at the Nebraska Business Development Institute.
