Vara Cherukuri

Vara Cherukuri is a skilled software systems engineer with extensive experience in software development and data analysis. Currently serving as Lead Software Systems Engineer at Omaha Public Power District since July 2019, Vara has previously held positions as a Senior Application Engineer in the same organization. Prior roles include Sr Application Developer at Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc., and Sr Business Data Analyst at Northwestern University, both during consulting engagements with the Department of Children & Family Services in the State of Illinois. Earlier experience includes an IT Operations Analyst position with the Department of Children & Family Services and various roles at Amazon, ranging from Workflow Analyst to Quality Assurance Team Lead. Vara holds a Master's degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois Springfield and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
