Dr. Sara Renner

Substitute Oboe/english Horn at Omaha Symphony

Dr. Sara Renner is an accomplished oboist and educator currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Instruction at The University of Texas at El Paso since September 2023. With a diverse range of teaching and performing experience, Dr. Renner is also a Professor of Winds and Principal Oboe at The ÓperaMaya Foundation. Additional positions include Substitute Principal Oboe for the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra, Substitute Oboe/English Horn for the South Dakota Symphony and Omaha Symphony, and Principal Oboe with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra MO. Previous roles include Artist Faculty at the Omaha Conservatory of Music, Adjunct Professor of Oboe at Washburn University, and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Dr. Renner holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Oboe Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, a Master of Music from Columbus State University Schwob School of Music, and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
