Ahmed al-Bahdoor

Ahmed Al-Bahdoor has a diverse work experience in the field of cyber security and technology. Ahmed started their career at Royal Oman Police in 2005 where they worked as an employee until 2014. During their time there, they gained valuable experience in the field.

In 2014, Ahmed joined Oman Airports Management Company as a Network Security Engineer, where they supported the opening and operation of new airports. Ahmed reviewed implementation plans and worked with contractors to ensure the security of network systems. Ahmed also provided technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network security appliances and solutions.

In 2018, Ahmed was promoted to the role of Information Security Operations Supervisor. In this role, they led a team responsible for managing and administering cyber security appliances and solutions. Ahmed ensured compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements and remediated security vulnerabilities. Ahmed also designed security architectures and implemented timely security patches and updates.

In 2019, Ahmed joined CIA Magnifier as a Technology and Cyber Risk Director, where they were responsible for overseeing technology and cyber risk management.

Ahmed Al-Bahdoor obtained their Bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology from Arab Open University, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career. These certifications include "Coaching Skills for Leaders and Managers" and "The Future of Work: The Necessary Skills of Your Future Workforce," both from LinkedIn in May 2023. Ahmed also holds a certification in "Cybersecurity Careers: Getting Started as a CISO" from LinkedIn, obtained in January 2023. In October 2022, they obtained a certification in "Project Management Skills for Leaders" from LinkedIn. Prior to this, in April 2020, Ahmed obtained a "Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management" from ILM. In December 2019, they earned an "ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Lead Auditor" certification from TÜV Rheinland Middle East. In May 2018, they obtained the "ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management" from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Ahmed also holds two Cisco certifications: "Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security)" obtained in March 2018, and "Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching)" obtained in March 2015.
