Anna Weld

Anna Weld has a diverse work experience spanning different roles in the sailing and water sports industry. Anna began their career as a Water Sports Product Manager at MasterSun Holidays, where they had overall responsibility for the watersports offered by the company. Anna then worked as a Retail Sales Executive at Laser Performance, handling sales and serving as a liaison between the manufacturer and customers.

Following that, Anna worked as a Freelance Water Sports Instructor, teaching sailing, powerboating, and windsurfing at various locations while also running instructor courses as an RYA Coach Assessor. Anna gained experience in coaching and assessing instructors.

Anna then moved on to become the Sailing Schools Development Manager at Oman Sail, where they managed and developed four sailing schools in Oman. Anna focused on coaching management skills, budgeting, monitoring progress, and reporting to the directors and board. Anna later transitioned to the role of Project Specialist at the same company, advising and problem-solving with the commercial branch of Oman Sail to create a sustainable and profitable business unit.

Most recently, Anna held the position of Head of Sales and Marketing at Oman Sail, responsible for developing and executing strategies for SeaOman, the commercial side of the organization. Anna managed a team and oversaw sales, marketing, and team development.

Before their time at Oman Sail, Anna worked as the Sailing School Centre Principal at Pentewan Sailing, where they set up and ran a sailing school that catered to a range of individuals, including families, groups aiming to become instructors, and at-risk youths.

Anna Weld has a diverse education history. In 1995, they attended Truro School where they completed their A Levels. Afterward, from 1997 to 2001, Anna pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at the University of Bath. In 2009, they decided to further their education by obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Plymouth. Finally, Anna completed their Master's degree in Business Administration and Management (MBA) from the University of Leicester between 2017 and 2020.
