Mark Stern M.D.

Mark Stern, MD has a diverse and extensive work experience. From 1996 to 2018, they worked as a Medical Legal Consultant, providing expert medical legal review and support services to both plaintiffs and defendants in cases involving Nursing Homes, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Adult Living Facilities, General Internal Medicine, and Geriatrics. In 1999, they joined Continucare Corporation as the Chief Medical Officer-Tampa, where they saw patients 3-4 days a week and served as the medical director for three offices. Mark'sresponsibilities included Utilization Management, Quality Management, and Case Management for patients in full-risk Medicare Advantage programs. Since 2015, Dr. Stern has been with Freedom Health and Optimum Health, where they started as a Medical Director and is currently serving as the Manager Medical Director, being involved in special projects, educating physicians on proper chart documentation and coding, and participating in programs and audits related to HEDIS, Five Star, and MRA.

Mark Stern, MD completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences and Mathematics from Cornell University, where they attended from 1969 to 1973. After that, they pursued their medical education at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, obtaining their Medical Doctorate (M.D.) between 1973 and 1977.
