Wendy Kao is a Senior Vice President at OMERS, overseeing Compliance and Regulatory for the APAC region since August 2019. Previously, Wendy served as a Legal Consultant at Peerpoint from November 2018 to August 2019. Wendy's experience also includes a role at Standard Chartered Bank from June 2017 to September 2018, where leadership was provided in implementing compliance solutions in the Financial Markets group. Before that, Wendy worked as an Executive Director (Legal) at JPMorgan Chase Bank from September 2010 to March 2017, specializing in loans, structured lending, and financial markets regulatory reforms across various APAC markets. Wendy began a legal career as a Managing Associate at Linklaters from April 2006 to September 2010, focusing on banking, finance, and OTC derivatives. Wendy holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from Monash University.
