Doug Shulman serves as a Board Member at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching since 2022 and has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of OneMain Financial since September 2018, previously holding the title of President and Chief Executive Officer. From 2014 to 2018, Doug Shulman was a Senior Executive Vice President and member of the Executive Committee at BNY Mellon. Additional roles include Senior Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School Center for Business & Government, Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company, and Guest Scholar at The Brookings Institution, all in 2013-2014. Doug Shulman was Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service from 2008 to 2012, Vice Chairman at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority from 2006 to 2008, and served on the boards of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation and the World Federation of Exchanges. Doug Shulman holds a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center, a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, and a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College.
