Saujan Shrestha

Saujan Shrestha has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Saujan started their career as a Test Engineer at STM Telecom Sanchar, where they played a crucial role in establishing V-SAT networks and improving the overall performance of telecommunication services. Saujan then worked as a Graduate Assistant at Louisiana Tech University, assisting professors in research work and using Excel and E-views for data analysis and report generation.

Later, Saujan joined CMC America Inc as a Finance Data Analyst, where they collected and analyzed financial data, automated data processing procedures, and utilized Excel and Bloomberg for data presentation. Saujan continued their education as a Graduate Assistant at Louisiana Tech University, contributing to academic research, simplifying data analyzing processes, and implementing formulas in Excel for grading automation.

Saujan proceeded to work as a Staff Accountant at Murco Wall Products, Inc., where they successfully managed various tax filings, simplified bank reconciliation procedures, and analyzed financial statements to provide recommendations to different departments. Saujan then joined Citi as a Financial Accounting Analyst, gaining experience in financial accounting tasks.

Most recently, Saujan has been employed at OneMain Financial, starting as an Account Sr. and later transitioning to the role of an Account Lead. In these positions, they developed procedures for automation, supported automation processes, and provided complex SQL queries to enhance team productivity. Saujan also took on the responsibilities of a Lead Financial System Analyst, overseeing the maintenance and upgrades of business ERP systems and preparing key reports for distribution to various user groups.

Throughout their career, Saujan has demonstrated strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to improving efficiency and effectiveness in financial and analytical processes.

Saujan Shrestha holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics from Kathmandu University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Saujan also has a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Accounting and Finance from Louisiana Tech University, completed between 2007 and 2009. Furthermore, they pursued a Master's degree in Professional Accounting from Louisiana Tech University between 2011 and 2013.
