Aukje Martens

Aukje Martens has a diverse professional background in communication, innovation, and crisis management. Currently serving as Coördinator Innovatie & Ontwikkeling at Omgevingsdienst Brabant Noord since May 2022 and simultaneously as Hoofd Crisis Communicatie at Veiligheidsregio Brabant-Noord since February 2024, Aukje has developed expertise in leading innovative projects and managing crisis communication. Prior experience includes roles as Leidinggevende teststraten and Teststraatmedewerker corona at Veiligheids- en Gezondheidsregio Gelderland-Midden, as well as positions in strategic communication and policy advising across various organizations, including the Province of Zeeland, Van Oord, and Drents Museum of Art. Aukje holds a master’s degree from Wageningen University & Research and a bachelor’s degree from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences.
