Beate G.

Beate G. has had a diverse range of work experience. In 2018, they worked as a Technical Writer for OMICRON electronics. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2018, they worked in the same role for the Zumtobel Group. Their responsibilities at Zumtobel included creating and maintaining documentation for software and hardware products, software localization, terminology and translation management, proofreading, and training interns on technical documentation processes and tools. Beate also worked as a Student Employee at Gemino GmbH from 2013 to 2014. In 2010, they interned at Sozialdienste Wolfurt and Amt der Landeshauptstadt Bregenz as part of their Bachelor studies. At Amt der Landeshauptstadt Bregenz, they provided IT support and was involved in a project on citizen participation in climate protection, where they assisted with communication, event organization, and content creation.

Beate G. obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business (BA) from MCI | The Entrepreneurial School® between the years 2007 and 2010. Subsequently, they attended Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin from 2009 to 2010. Beate then pursued a Staatlich geprüfte Übersetzerin (State-certified translator) degree in Translating and Interpreting, specializing in engineering and natural sciences, at Sprachen- und Dolmetscherinstitut München from 2011 to 2014. Following this, they completed a Master of Science in Translation and Computer-Assisted Translation Tools at Heriot-Watt University from 2014 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Beate has obtained several certifications related to translation and project management. These include SDL Trados Studio 2011 for Translators - Getting Started and SDL Trados Studio 2011 for Translators - Intermediate, both obtained from SDL plc in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Beate also holds certifications in SDL Trados Studio 2015 for Project Managers and SDL Trados Studio 2017 for Project Managers, acquired from SDL plc in 2016.
