Derek Brown

Derek Brown is an experienced Regional Manager at OMICRON electronics since September 2018, overseeing Operations, Strategy, Sales, Marketing, and Business Development for the North America region. Previously, Derek served as Project Operations Director at GE Grid Solutions, managing Grid Automation projects, and as Regional Managing Director at ALSTOM Grid, successfully implementing Substation Automation strategies. Derek's career includes significant roles at ALSTOM Grid and AREVA T&D, focusing on market strategy, product development, and operational management. Derek holds an MBA from Purdue University, a Master’s in Electrical & Applied Engineering, and a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bath, along with a HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Staffordshire University.
