Stephen Herndon's work experience begins in 1995 at US Steel Fairfield Works, where they worked as a Project Engineer III. Stephen implemented capital projects, provided technical assistance for cost and continuous improvement projects, and completed multi-million dollar projects on time and under budget. From 1999 to 2002, they worked at LTV-Copperweld as a Plant Engineer, where they developed and implemented capital projects, supervised maintenance functions, and provided custom engineered automation control upgrades. In 2001, they joined Tenaris Coiled Tubes as a Plant Manager, overseeing operations until 2011. Stephen then worked at U.S. Steel as a Plant Manager until 2013 before becoming the Director of Engineering and Maintenance at OMK Tube, Inc., where they are currently employed.

Stephen Herndon attended Enterprise State Community College from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Engineering. Stephen then went on to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Auburn University from 1992 to 1995.
