John Kropp has a diverse work experience in the field of analog layout and IC design. John started their career as an apprentice designer at Clark IC Design, where they received training in various process technologies and layout techniques. After spending 18 months at CICD, they joined Hewlett-Packard as a contract layout designer. Subsequently, they worked as a contract layout designer at Wireless Microsystems, where they contributed to the design of a Transceiver IFIC for MAGIS networks. In 2001, John transitioned to Maxim Integrated Products as an IC Layout Specialist, focusing on high-speed analog layout techniques. John later joined Intel Corporation as an Analog Mask Designer, honing their skills in creating analog layouts and using layout tools. In 2019, John and their wife started their own business, Krystola Laser Engraving, which has been an exciting and rewarding adventure for them. Currently, John serves as the Physical Design Director at Omni Design Technologies, Inc., where they coordinate and manages analog layout activities across all design centers, ensuring timely completion while utilizing their experience to create cutting-edge analog circuits.

John Kropp attended Mingus Union High School from 1987 to 1991, where they graduated in 1991. John then pursued further education at ITT Tech from 1992 to 1993, earning an Associate's Degree in CAD drafting.
