Ian Johnson

Ian Johnson, CMP, PMP, currently serves as the Director of Convention Services at Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, having joined the pre-opening team that launched the hotel in September 2021. With extensive experience in event management, Ian previously held the position of Director of Event Management at Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel from February 2014 to April 2020, where responsibilities included strategic vision execution and budget oversight as a member of the Executive Committee. Prior to this, Ian worked at Starwood Hotels & Resorts for nearly two decades, occupying several senior roles, including Director of Event Management at Sheraton New York Times Square and Director of Catering & Convention Services at multiple Westin properties. Ian's career in hospitality began at Sheraton Hotels of Cape Cod in 1994. Educational credentials include an Associate's degree in Accounting Technician from Mid West Business Institute in Ireland.
