Ann Richardson has held various roles in the medical field since 2004. Ann began their career as a Medical Technologist at Catholic Health in 2004, followed by a role as a Medical Technologist at Unyts in 2005. In 2009, they started as a Laboratory Supervisor at Kaleida Health, where they were responsible for organizing, managing, and providing direct supervision to laboratory personnel. In 2018, they became an Inspection Specialist at the College of American Pathologists (CAP) where they performed on-site inspections of laboratories seeking accreditation and reviewed documentation to ensure adherence of regulatory compliance. Most recently, they have been the Quality Systems Manager at OmniSeq since 2019.

Ann Richardson obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo between 1987 and 1989. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's Degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Technician from Trocaire College between 1985 and 1987. Additionally, they obtained a certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in June 1989.
