Tamara Kinzer-Ursem

Tamara Kinzer-Ursem is a Co-Founder and Advisor at OmniVis. Tamara was previously the Head of Biochemistry Research and Development at Maven Biotechnologies from January 2011 to October 2012. Tamara also worked as a Glass Chemist at Owens-Illinois, Inc. from January 1998 to December 2000, where they were responsible for glass chemistry analysis including raw materials analysis, X-Ray spectroscopy, and UV/Vis Spectroscopy. Prior to their work in the private sector, Dr. Kinzer-Ursem was an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University from December 2012 to March 2019. Tamara also served as the Director of Undergraduate Programs at Purdue University from July 2019 to April 2021. Dr. Kinzer-Ursem began their academic career as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the California Institute of Technology from May 2006 to December 2010.

Tamara Kinzer-Ursem has a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Her B.S. in Eng is in Bioengineering from The University of Toledo.

Tamara Kinzer-Ursem reports to Katherine Clayton, CEO & Co-Founder. They work with Steven Wereley - Co-Founder & Advisor, José Carlos Ponce Rojas - Molecular Biologist, and Lotte Vandewalle - Business Operations Manager.
