Dorin Baru

Dorin Baru is an experienced professional in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as Managing Director at OMV Petrom Kazakhstan since August 2009, where previously also held the title of General Manager for Exploration and Production in Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. Prior to joining OMV / Petrom in January 2006 as BD Manager for the Caspian Region, Dorin Baru was the CEO of Exploration and Production at Rompetrol from October 1999 to 2003. Dorin Baru's extensive career began at Unocal, where positions included Technical Manager for the Caspian region and various roles from research scientist to Senior Geophysicist. Dorin Baru holds a Master's degree in Geophysics from the University of Bucharest.
