MaryEllen King has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. MaryEllen currently holds the position of Director of Care Management & Transitions of Care at On Belay Health Solutions, starting in October 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a Certified Pilates Instructor at various Pilates Studios since September 2018.

From 2017 to 2022, MaryEllen worked at Florida Blue in various roles. MaryEllen started as a Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist in July 2017 and then transitioned to the role of Clinical Consultant for Value-Based Programs in February 2019. In the latter role, they collaborated with physicians and staff to drive performance in Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and Accountable Care Organization (ACO) programs, providing education and support, interpreting financial analytics, and implementing process improvement recommendations.

Before joining Florida Blue, MaryEllen served as the Manager of Clinical Services at Senior Whole Health from May 2016 to September 2017. In this role, they oversaw a team of 35 staff members and performed analytics to identify opportunities for interventions.

From 2010 to 2016, MaryEllen worked at Partners Healthcare. MaryEllen started as an RN on the Brain Injury Unit from October 2010 to June 2011, providing assessments, evaluations, and medical care to patients. MaryEllen then took on the role of RN Regional Care Manager from April 2012 to June 2015, conducting comprehensive clinical reviews for proper utilization of medical services. MaryEllen also served as an RN on the Private Duty/Home Care team from May 2010 to December 2015, providing in-home support and care to patients.

Prior to their healthcare roles, MaryEllen worked in law enforcement. MaryEllen was a Police Officer at the City of Pawtucket, RI from 1995 to 2005, serving in the Community Police Unit, Patrol Unit, and D.A.R. MaryEllen also worked as a Police Officer at Brown University from 1985 to 1995.

MaryEllen King holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and is certified as a Care Manager Certified (CCM) and Case Management Certified (CMCN).

MaryEllen King has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from MGH Institute of Health Professions. MaryEllen also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Health Informatics from Southern New Hampshire University, which they completed from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, they have a Post Baccalaureate in Radiology Technology from MGHIHP School of Health Professions. In terms of their previous education, they hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Administration of Justice from Roger Williams University.

Furthermore, MaryEllen King has obtained several certifications. MaryEllen is a Lean Competency Systems 1C Continuous Improvement Brown Belt, achieved in October 2021. Additionally, they hold the Advanced Achievement in Transplant Management Certification (AATMC) from Interlink, obtained in September 2014. MaryEllen is also a Certified Case Manager from the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC), obtained in December 2013. Lastly, they are a Certified Managed Care Nurse (CMCN) from AAMNC, achieved in January 2015.
