John V. Blazek

Executive Director, Day Services & Chief Development Officer at On Lok

As Executive Director –Day Services, John Blazek expands and leads programs that include On Lok 30th Street Senior Center and the soon-to-open Openhouse + On Lok Community Day Services program. John also leads On Lok’s philanthropy and development efforts. On Lok’s Development Team works to expand our donor base and increase funding to provide seniors in our community with needed programs and services.

Prior to joining On Lok, John was vice president of individual giving and chapter president at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The New York-based nonprofit supports leading international research and serves more people with MS than any other organization in the world. He previously held roles at Northwestern University School of Law and at the Archdiocese of Chicago. He currently serves on the executive leadership committee for the San Francisco chapter of Lambda Legal, and was previously on the advisory board at Northwestern University Center on Wrongful Conviction.

He was also a member of the National MS Society Task Force on Diversity. John holds a master’s degree in divinity from the University of Saint Mary of the Lake, a doctor of law degree from Northwestern University School of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in art history from Marque
