Areeb Riaz

Areeb Riaz is a Principal DSP Firmware Engineer at onsemi since February 2023, with previous experience as a Senior Algorithm Design and Implementation Engineer at Cirrus Logic from June 2021 to February 2023, and an Audio Engineer at Jabra from June 2020 to June 2021. Prior roles include DSP Engineer positions at Shure Scandinavia from July 2019 to May 2020 and at GoerTek Audio Technologies from January 2016 to July 2019. Areeb Riaz has extensive expertise in researching and developing algorithms for audio signal processing, specializing in noise suppression, voice activity detection, and multi-microphone beam forming. Areeb Riaz holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Surrey, awarded in 2015 and 2011, respectively.
