Thomas LaGon

Thomas LaGon has a diverse work experience in the audio and visual industry. Thomas started their career as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1989 to 2001. Thomas then worked as Chief Audio Engineer at Greater 2nd Mt. Olive from 2001 to 2004. From 2008 to 2018, Thomas served as an Audio/Mix Engineer at Edgewater Recording Studios and later established their own company called LaGon Music Inc. in 2002, where they worked as the Owner and Audio/Mix Engineer.

In 2012, Thomas joined PSAV as the Director of Event Technology, a role they held until 2019. Thomas then became a Senior Audio Engineer at Leading The Way with Dr. Michael Youssef, operating and adjusting audio and broadcast equipment, setting up equipment for live recordings, and managing software for the intercom system.

Their most recent position was as an Audio Visual Specialist at Superior Court of Fulton County from June 2021 to October 2022, where they were responsible for the court's audio/visual and telecommunication systems. Thomas is currently working as an Audio Visual Operations Manager at ON Services beginning in June 2023.

Thomas LaGon has a diverse education history in the fields of audio engineering, music, and computer sciences. In 2009, they obtained a diploma in Audio Engineering from SAE Institute North America. Following this, they pursued further education in music by attending ProMedia Training, where they received a certification as an Avid Pro Tools HD Operator: Music in 2011.

In 2004, Thomas enrolled in ITT Technical Institute-Duluth and studied Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services until 2008.

Additionally, Thomas attended the United States Armed Forces School of Music, where they earned a Diploma in Music.

Throughout their career, Thomas has also acquired several certifications. In October 2011, they became an Avid Certified Operator for Pro Tools | Music and an Avid Certified User for Pro Tools. More recently, in April 2020, they obtained Dante Certification Levels 1 and 2 from Audinate.
