Marius Gheorghe's work experience includes positions at various companies and research institutes. Marius worked as a Principal Bioinformatician and later as a Senior Bioinformatician at NEC OncoImmunity AS from 2019 to the present. Prior to that, they completed a PhD in Computational Biology & Gene Regulation at the Center for Molecular Medicine Norway from 2016 to 2019. Marius also worked at Erasmus MC as a Scientific Developer/Statistician from 2012 to 2016. At Leiden University Medical Center, they held roles as a Scientific Developer and Researcher, as well as a Software Developer and Researcher in 2011. Marius gained experience as a Software Developer Engineer at Autoliv from 2009 to 2010. Marius also completed internships as a Software Developer at Hôpital Brussais in 2008 and at Institut Pasteur in 2007.
Marius Gheorghe completed their education in the field of Computer Science. Marius obtained a Baccalauréat in Computer Science from the National College of Computer Science "Grigore Moisil" in Brasov, Romania in 2002. Marius then pursued further studies and received a Bac+2 degree in Computer Science from IUT de Montreuil in 2007. In 2008, Marius earned a BSc in Computer Science from Université Paris 8. Marius continued their education and obtained an MSc in Computer Science from Leiden University in 2012. Most recently, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Biology and Gene Regulation from the University of Oslo (UiO) in 2019. In addition to their degrees, they also hold certifications in Tibco Spotfire and Biomedical Research Techniques from Molmed - Erasmus Postgraduate School of Molecular Medicine.
