Saverio Niccolini

Saverio Niccolini has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Saverio is currently working as the Chief Operating Officer at NEC OncoImmunity AS since 2023. Prior to this, they held several positions at NEC Laboratories Europe GmbH, including General Manager of Data Science and System Platform Research, Director of Life Science Innovation Hub, Design Thinking Advocate, Manager of the Biomedical AI Research Group, Manager of the System Platforms and Machine Learning Group, General Manager of the Network Research Division, Deputy General Manager of the Network Research Division, Senior Researcher, and Research Staff Member. Saverio also has experience as a Research Assistant at HEIG-VD and a Research Staff Member at FBK CREATE-NET. Throughout their career, Saverio has been responsible for strategic planning, budget allocation, people management, and driving innovation and research in various technology areas, including data science, artificial intelligence, system platforms, networked systems, and telecommunications.

Saverio Niccolini obtained a PhD in Telematics from the Università degli studi di Pisa from 2001 to 2003. Before that, they completed a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the same university from 1994 to 2000. In addition, they obtained certification as an Enterprise Design Thinking Advocate from IBM in 2018.
