Group CEO at One Caribbean Media Limited

Dawn Thomas is the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of One Caribbean Media Limited (OCM) since 2011. Prior to her present appointment she served for four years as the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Caribbean Communications Network Limited (CCN), a subsidiary of the OCM Group.

OCM is the largest and most diversified media organization in the Caribbean. It comprises the Express newspaper, television station – CCN TV6 and five radio stations in Trinidad and Tobago, the Nation newspaper and Starcom Network radio stations in Barbados, the Grenada Broadcasting Network (GBN) in Grenada and radio services in five Eastern Caribbean islands. OCM is listed on both the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange and Barbados Stock Exchange.

Prior to her tenure with the OCM Group, she spent fifteen (15) years with the Massy Group and held the position of CEO of Tracmac Engineering Limited. During her appointment with the Massy Group, Mrs. Thomas worked with the energy, construction, agriculture, industrial and marine sectors of the economy. Mrs. Thomas also served as a Director on the Board of Massy Energy, Associated Brands Ltd. (Guyana) and Massy Finance.

Mrs. Thomas is the past Vice Chairman of the International Press Institute (IPI) headquartered in Vienna, Austria. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of One Caribbean Media Ltd. (OCM) and the Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) in Barbados. She also serves as a Director of RBC Merchant Bank (Caribbean) Limited and RBC Royal Bank (Trinidad and Tobago) Limited.

Mrs. Thomas holds a BSc. Industrial Engineering (Hons) Degree from the University of the West Indies (UWI) and also completed an Executive Development Programme at the University of Western Ontario.
