Derek Devernoe has over 20 years of work experience in the IT field. In 1994, they began working at Walt Disney World Contemporary as an Instructor and was quickly promoted to Lead (Coordinator). In 1997, they began working at Sony Electronics as a Technical Support representative, and was promoted to Email Support and Tier 2 Escalations. In 1998, they took a position at AccuData America as an IT Manager and Systems Administrator. From 2002 to 2011, they were the Director of Information Technology at Data Partners Inc. In 2018, they joined udu, Inc. as a Senior DevOps Engineer and also took a position at Blue Cross NC as a Senior Developer/DevOps Engineer. In 2019, they joined SolarWinds MSP as a Senior Operations Engineer (DevOps) and Manager - Operations Engineering (DevOps). In 2021, they joined N-able as a Manager - Operations Engineering (DevOps). Finally, in 2022, they joined One Concern as a Senior Engineering Manager Cloud Operations.

Derek Devernoe's education history includes a Regents Diploma from Schalmont in AP Math/Science, a Certificate from Lake-Sumter State College in Mac, iPad and iPhone Programming, and studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Programming from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Valencia College, respectively.
