Sean Mercado

Sean Mercado has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in payor contracting. Sean currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Payor Strategy at One GI® since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Pediatrix Medical Group, where they held various roles in payor contracting including Associate Vice President, Senior Regional Director, and Regional Director from 2017 to 2023. Before joining Pediatrix, Sean worked at DaVita Inc. as a Regional Manager in Payor Contracting from 2015 to 2017. Sean began their career at Humana, where they served in different positions such as Provider Contracting Process Consultant, Provider Contracting Representative, and Provider Contracting Analyst from 2008 to 2015.

Sean Mercado attended Vanderbilt University from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering and Engineering Management.
