Dr. Kevin Lang is an Operating Partner in the Food and Beverage Manufacturing and Distribution vertical for One Rock Capital Partners, LLC. Dr. Lang brings almost 40 years of experience in the food and beverage industry to this role, particularly in operations, research and development, quality, environmental matters, and financial management.
Prior to joining One Rock, Dr. Lang founded Soundwatch Consulting, which is focused on developing formulations to increase the shelf life of bakery snack foods. He also recently served as COO of Delavau and Innovation and Research Development Leader at Hostess Brands. Prior to his position at Hostess Brands, Dr. Lang served as Senior Vice President for the Kraft Phillip Morris Baking Company Division. Prior to that position, he served as a financial manager for the Kraft Philip Morris Frozen Novelty Group, after beginning his career at General Foods, which was later acquired by Philip Morris.
Dr. Lang holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in Food Engineering from the University of Illinois, and a B.S. in food science from Rutgers University. Additionally, he completed financial training at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He has been granted 87 US and International Patents covering a broad range of products including Innovative Frozen Novelties, Shelf Life Extension for Bakery Products, and making Vitamin and Mineral Tablets smaller and easier to swallow.
